Monday, March 1, 2004 is SI Awareness Day. Current mood:  calm.
Fox's Journal Yesterday was Self Injury Awareness Day. Add me to that list of people you know who SI. Current mood:  moody.
Ow. Another migraine yesterday. (current rate is about one a month. Except I can't work out what triggers them, unless it's lack of sleep. Seems to be "more than five consecutive nights of less than four hours sleep" will land me a thundering migraine at around 7pm on day 6. Hmm. Does anyone know if you can get auditory (rather than, or as well as, visual) hallucinations as part of a pre-migraine aura? I kept hearing weird high-pitched noises all afternoon, then came flashing lights and me curled up in bed with the lights off, under the duvet and hidden under a dressing-gown to make it almost bearably dark.) Gah. Horrible things, migraines. I hate the fact that light makes me want to be sick, and my hearing goes hyper-sensitive. Not to mention the headache. Oh well. Gone now. hmmm. Wonder if it's worth trying another lunatic week of less-than-four-hours'-sleep a night, just to find out if that's what triggers it? Hmmm. Maybe not, Katie. Current mood:  nauseated.

mental note: put as much physical, mental, emotional and musical effort/energy into every rehearsal as you do for a concert. There needs to be a physical connection (head, heart and body) between me and the music, and communication between me and the audience (the conductor stands about 2-3 feet in front of the focus of the sound). Current mood: inspired. Debussy: Syrinx just, well, ooh. Mighr have to take the flute round the world with me at this rate. Current mood:  ecstatic.
